#blessed

The term "blessed" has become synonymous with receiving good fortune, but Jesus painted a vividly different picture in His Sermon on the Mount of who He declares to be "blessed." It is not the privileged and powerful who are blessed in His upside down kingdom, but the marginalized - the poor, the orphan, the widow, the foreigner, the downcast, and all who grieve, feed, and walk alongside them.
